A very attractive palace and home to the boss. If you're looking to watch the changing of the guard (of course you are): be sure to get there early, it can get very busy! It's a wonderful experience.

Well worth a visit when in town. The guided tour gets you access to the representation rooms, the royal treasury and the old historic museum underneath the palace; a trip through hundred years of time

During summer time, visit just after opening or just before closure, to avoid crowds. Tends to get very warm so be sure to have had something to drink before entering (no AC in the 1600s). Enjoy!

Been to lots of royal palaces but this one really stuck out. Quite impressive. Intricate ceilings in many rooms, beautiful parquet floors, and some really wonderful portraits. Worth the trip. ????????
